சங்கீதம் 127 Psalm 127

1. 1

   கர்த்தர் வீட்டைக் கட்டாராகில், அதைக் கட்டுகிறவர்களின் பிரயாசம் விருதா; கர்த்தர் நகரத்தைக் காவாராகில் காவலாளர் விழித்திருக்கிறது விருதா.

   Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2. 2

   நீங்கள் அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து நேரப்பட வேலையிலே தரித்து, வருத்தத்தின் அப்பத்தைச் சாப்பிடுகிறதும் விருதா; அவரே தமக்குப் பிரியமானவனுக்கு நித்திரை அளிக்கிறார்.

   It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3. 3

   இதோ, பிள்ளைகள் கர்த்தரால் வரும் சுதந்தரம், கர்ப்பத்தின் கனி அவரால் கிடைக்கும் பலன்.

   Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4. 4

   வாலவயதின் குமாரர் பலவான் கையிலுள்ள அம்புகளுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

   As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5. 5

   அவைகளால் தன் அம்பறாத்தூணியை நிரப்பின புருஷன் பாக்கியவான்; அவர்கள் நாணமடையாமல் ஒலிமுகவாசலில் சத்துருக்களோடே பேசுவார்கள்.

   Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
